Cool Looking Bridge: needs conversion

Post by Swaffy »

I found a really interesting bridge that we can use in the game! Unfortunately, it was made in 3DS Max 2008 and needs conversion to work in BF1942. Can someone download this (free) bridge and get it converted/scaled correctly? Then we'll be able to use it in custom maps!

There are two reasons why I cannot do this. One, I don't have the proper program(s) to do it, and two, I have no clue how to correctly scale objects for BF1942. Any help would be wonderful!

For a reasonable price, maybe I could give it a shot! xD

It's hard enough trying to find a good model that's free. I can spend hours looking through 3D models on TurboSquid and not find a good model that includes textures. I can't find a good guitar model, been looking for a long time.

Look here, next to the Iron bridges and Remagen Bridge. I think its a close enough imitation of what you want.

Modding tools, MDT 2.76. Open the .max in Max8,9,10,11,12,13 and just export to .sm and you're good to go.

198 000 polygons? Whoa, good luck getting that to work.

That's a smexy bridge
I have no idea where to start, or what to do to lower the polygon size, so I'll just shut up.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but takes up three thousand times the memory.

I've started work on the bridge. I'm just going to do it on my free time. Here's a little before/after example image:
