Well, I went to a computer nerd meet-up thing my college teacher took us to, and one guy presented how he took a $2,000 program and basically took out the activation key system and used the program without any problem. And the way he did it (I won't share) was really simple.

I guess so. THe point of his presentation was to prove some companies blow their program's cost way out of proportion to get money. Programs that are worth maybe 1/8th or less the normal price.

or WinRar, where all it does is give you a popup that it has expired, yet you can still use it.

I have one program that i have to wait like 10 seconds before it can be used, thing is that i dont use it much and the price is to steep between evaluation and full version, so i just live with the 10 seconds waiting time.
