Forgotten Hope profiley kills question

Greetings.
This is for you guys who play FH or whatever and have the wee kill count :3
I may be joining a clan, but I want to keep my stats (however small). Does anyone know if I just add the clan name to the front of my name if it will change my stats? I am going to use the same BF profile etc.
