Vista problems....

I want to change my startup programs, so I click start (the little icon at the left bottom corner} then go to control panel, look underprograms and then clicked startup programs...but when I click it, it shows for about 5 seconds sometimes dosent even show, why is this???

im pretty sure that ur pc isnt that good , its a laptop right? why u dont install xp belive me is better u will notice the change in a laptop

run>msconfig>startup?
