Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
Any more detailed feedback before we proceed with the final release? Did anyone try a multiplayer Co-op game?

Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
Great, thanks for that. I was also dissapointed with the M60 animations. We tried to do the reload, but the pivots and object positions don't work for it, as it borrowed the M249 anims at the time. I didn't have anyone on the team who could work with animations. I'll work with the masterkey with tha...

Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
Finally, Desert Combat Realism, Co-Op revision, is ready for beta testing. I will greatly, GREATLY appreciate your feedback on this final revision of the once popular DCR mod. I know it's been a LONG time since good 'ol BF1942 mods were being played en-masse. According to BattlefieldFiles.com, DCR f...

Re: Making a server version of a mod
Quick question as I prepare the DCR betatest download... Should I bother stripping down the mod for the betatest for a server version? If anyone was going to host a dedicated server, would they care that I took off 100MB of data from the mod? That's all I would save (it's a 200MB mod). I'm thinking ...

Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
I just made some minor updates to the DCR website. The most important was a feature list of all the special features in DCR. If you would like to see them, you can visit:

Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
The mod is very, very close to being ready for a beta test release. I just finished all of my work, and have handed it off to 4CentsShy for a once-over. We plan on making more major improvements in Co-op play, but it's come quite far already and is entirely playable. I just finished a very time cons...

Making a server version of a mod
Can anyone tell me what is involved with making a server only version of a BF1942 mod? Do you just not include the graphics and sound portions? (textures.rfa, sound.rfa, etc)

Re: Desert Combat Realism: The plan for a new release
UPDATE After a monthlong hiatus due to finals and final projects, I am back to preparing DCR for a coop betatest release I'm currently working on some cosmetic improvements: 1. Adding thumbnails for all the supported maps in the map selection screen. This is both for aesthetics and also to alert to ...
