Battlefield242 for BF1942...

I finally finished uploading this mod and can now post it. This mod brings several BF2 vehicles and maps to BF1942! I converted 6 or 7 BF2 vehicles and 10 BF2 trees for Highway Tampa, including a couple BF2 statics. (Helo pad and a couple buildings in Highway Tampa) I didn't create this mod. Sting a...

Re: Weapon or Ground Vehicle ?

For beginners....Vehicles hands down. With weapons you would have to code new extra things like make animations for it or make it use an existing animation. There's a bit more involvement in getting a handweapon working then coding vehicles.

So I'd recommend you start with vehicles. ;)

Minor issue when animating a banana....

I recently found out how to animate stuff! Thanks to a tutorial on making weapon animations! I only needed to know how to actually get the dam objects in 3DSMax to move when I press the little play button and such. As it turns out I had to turn on auto key then move the stuff I want animated to a po...

Re: Disabling the minimap in a specific game mode

I was probably the one that posted it. :P Here it is for your enjoyment: rem *** Disables MiniMap only in Team Death Match mode. (GPM_TDM) *** var v_playMode game.gamePlayMode -> v_playMode if v_playMode == GPM_TDM hud.useThumbnailMap 0 endIf Put it in a con file somewhere in the bf1942/game.rfa for...

Re: Breaking glass

I got it working as a PCO. But the e_ExplWindow effect is just not that much in the way of eye candy. Infact it produces so little of an effect that you might confuse the particles it emites with the standard richochets that come off it when you shoot it. :( No video really necessary Screenshots: (c...

Re: Random Control Point position..

lol yes. Put a control point on anything destructible or something that would otherwise wouldn't be around when the round ends = epic CTD. I've already tried. :(

I've heard that BFV however can handle destructible CPs correctly though.

Re: Breaking glass

Actually, EA/Dice has already tried something like this. Check this out: MOVE_FILES/Windows_M1/Objects.con: ObjectTemplate.create Bundle Window_m1 ObjectTemplate.saveInSeparateFile 1 ObjectTemplate.sethascollisionPhysics 1 ObjectTemplate.sethasresponsePhysics 1 ObjectTemplate.hasArmor 1 ObjectTempla...
