simulate a high latency multiplay situation locally

Any way for me to limit the network speed of a 1942 host locally.. so I can join with new client on same machine.. but.. without the zero ping. I'd like to see how things are in a poor situation.. 300ms ping for example.

yeah this is all true and understood. wheels dont actually rotate about their center.. and the suspension offset is required.. but the physics setup on willy places the wheels too far forward and very different heights... and is then corrected in objects with offsets.. maybe affects physics... ? its...

So i've never played with the willy before :lol: Was just trying something... and was setting up the spring positions in max using their co-ords in objects / physics.. The positions of the wheels.. is mighty weird.. it's like a series of different offsets... which do ultimately end up putting the wh...

ahh ok any looping sound like this is an error in the script.. rather than a setting. This would explain why I've never figured out what it was

I started over and things are now working as expected

Add custom weapon sound... press fire... sound plays and loops for ever... problem..

Have seen this many times in the past.. Why does it do this...?

so, I don't fully understand gear ratios (but Im sure google could help me out there..)

but I have never been able to make cars either go fast (say.. 150mph) or get them to accelerate in a realistic fashion / rate.

could anyone try to make a vehicle with properties of say.. a bugatti veyron?

The holy grail for me would be a splitter that can handle:

Larger than 32768x32768 16bit greyscale png/raw

I've probably mentioned before so won't hold my breath :)
Perhaps a new set of eyes will see this thread sometime to take it up again.

ok, thanks.. so: - battlefield_1942_server_v1.6.19.exe - bf1942_server_v1.6_to_v1.61b.exe - BF1942_w32ded-1.612-keyhash_all_clients.zip can: - accept either CD or origin clients - run higher than 64 player (forgot this but assuming..?) - is fixed to all current known exploits ? should punkbuster be ...
