Computer Problems

Hey, I had some problems with my DVD/CD thing on my computer. So people suggested me to clean up my computer. So I unplug everything off my computer take it the kitchen table take a air hose and blow the dust away. After I did that, I replugged everything on my computer like I had before. So I turn on my computer and then bam. My computer would bring up a Startup Fix screen in like a window xp theme, when I have window 7. So I wait 2 hours for it to finish. So It did, so It said do you want to send reports? I pressed "Don't send". Which I thought didn't matter which one I choose. So it turned off my computer power, and I start it up again. It does that same thing. So can someone tell me why this kinda Start up Fix screen is popping up every time I start my computer?

I'd also say it boots from somewhere else, not from your Win7. Remove all other HDDs and CD/DVDs. Check IDE or S-ATA cables. Check BIOS for boot options.

He's basically saying that you should check to see if the wires going to your HDD(Hard Drive Disk) are properly plugged in. For the BIOS, most likely meant that it reset and is set to boot from, say, the another disc.

nope. I think I only have one.

When you open "My Computer", does it show, where Local Disk(C:) is, another disc? Perhaps you created another Partition on accident when you installed Win7....

Sounds like to me your computer crashed during shutdown or while rebooting during the windows setup/install process... this is common due to conflicting or unknown hardware. If this is a desktop & u r hardware savy... remove all none essential internal & external hardware & reload windows 7 from scratch. After reloading... install all essential updates hardware & software from "windows update"... THEN & ONLY then plug your external & non-essential hardware in. Having external peripherals & non-native recognized hardware plugged in during ANY windows install causes major havic with/during install of ANY windows operating system.
