Change depletion rate in single player mod

Hello and thank you all!

I am very new to this game... and although it's old I am loving it! I am Old myself ha! A couple of points frustrate me about this game and I would like to see if I can change them. I have looked and searched everywhere but I don't think I know the right wording to use...

I would like to slow down the depletion rate when you have not enough bases. It's when the soldier amount is flashing red and you are losing troops. Is there a way to slow that down or make it stop?

Also, I would like to not have the game end when you are the only soldier left. I would like to keep fighting until I die. Is that possible?
