Time To Live After Death
Time To Live After Death
I have increased the time within corpses stay visible after death in ObjectTemplate.timeToLiveAfterDeath. It works good when I create my own game (offline) however bodies dissapear after default 10 seconds in online servers. Why? Is there something that I need to do yet? Sadly I havent stumpled upon similiar topic so far
Re: Time To Live After Death
It would have to be changed server-side, I believe.

Re: Time To Live After Death
This needs to be changed server-side in ObjectSpawnTemplates.con and the value at the end can range from 0-9999
Example:
ObjectTemplate.Active USSoldier
ObjectTemplate.TimeToLiveAfterDeath 9999
Example:
ObjectTemplate.Active USSoldier
ObjectTemplate.TimeToLiveAfterDeath 9999
Re: Time To Live After Death
The problem with having a butt load of bodies on the map is that it increases CPU overhead.
A nice midpoint for having that for Co-Op is about one minute.
A nice midpoint for having that for Multiplayer is about two minutes.
If you set the time higher for Co-Op, a lot of bots will be dying and causing lag because of the bodies laying all over the map...
