I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
I usually just merge tham all together, which messes up a couple of things occasionally.
I extract the main file, then extract the "_000" file, then extract the "_003" file.
In short, I just merge them together [in order] into one folder.
Then I go in and look for any errors. That is what I did with Bocage, Battleaxe, Iwo Jima, and Midway.
It's most likely a bad way to merge them, but I'm a noob that does stuff like that.

You are not a noob, this is the proper (if not the only) way of merging rfa patches.
I thought that merging the original map patches in bf1942 mod folder would give you problems with content check... but I guess it's the content that matters here, not how it is distributed.
Frankie, have you solved your problem yet?

Sadly it appears that Frankie has left the building. All this juicy help will be found by some retro modder in 50 years though

Sorry for my late answer on this topic.
I finnaly solved this problem. After i save the map from BC, it save only the Market_Garden.rfa but NOT the Market_Garden_003.rfa.
Si i opened RFA Explorer and replace ObjectSpawns.con content from Market_Garden_003.rfa with the content from Market_Garden.rfa .
That`s all !
Thanks a lot for your help !

Frankie, there's no need to modify original files. Actually, that's kind of bad because you ruin the chance to "fall back" to a clean setup.
If you make simple changes, you can save them to a new Market_Garden_004.rfa. The numbers in the end defines it as a patchfile. So the game checks all the map.rfas with numbers and loads the largest number last, overwriting anything a previous numbered .rfa might say. So if you put your ObjectSpawns.con in Market_garden_004.rfa (and only that, nothing else required), this change will apply once you load the map ingame. Should you want to revert to vanilla, you'd just have to delete the _004.rfa . It's a pretty sweet system, actually.

After i make the changes in Battlecraft, should i use the command FILE ---> SAVE LEVEL ?
Or should i use FILE ---> COPY LEVEL TO.. And the rename it to Market_Garden_004.rfa ?
Thanks
Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
No, these are just 2 different ways of solving your problem:
First method:
1. Open Market Garden in Battlecraft.
2. Before any editing, click file->copy level to, call it Frankies_Market or something like that.
3. Edit your new map and never worry about multiplay or any patches.
OR
Second Method:
1. Copy your Market_Garden.rfa to a safe place (for example, desktop.)
2. Open Market Garden in Battlecraft.
3. Edit your vehicle spawns.
4. Save map.
5. Rename Market_Garden.rfa (the one in your levels directory) to Market_Garden_004.rfa
6. Move market_garden.rfa from your desktop back to your levels directory
7. Reverse this process when you want to edit the map. If you want to play online, move market_garden_004.rfa away from your levels directory.
IMHO the first method is much better, but I guess it's a matter of preference.

It works great for my computer but i can`t use it in online multiplayer - the people can`t join my server, they get errors. Though i can join any online server...
I wanna change the maps for a bf1942 v1.61b server that it will be online soon and i want to customize a little bit few maps (add more airplanes, tanks and vehicles) and hope anybody can join my server without a problem.
