Nice. I made yet another cloud mesh. (this time it's more of a pyramid since the shape didn't seem to effect the way the clouds appear very much).
I will go through and get some clouds going in all the maps. First I will try and use the original coding that they had in place but will probably have to tweak cloud scale/textures to fit skydox better. For skyboxes where the cloud edge with the skybox becomes a problem, I may edit the skybox textures and add a gradient to hide the cloud edge better.

Wow I came.
Is it possible to fly through and above the clouds? So that you can take cover from ground fire.

No. The clouds behave much like the sky box. They are not occluded by fog and will follow with the camera, thus it is impossible for players to reach the skybox edge or the cloud mesh edge as well.

I guess just use this in conjunction with the DC rotating clouds.. would create the cover and possible add to the overall effect
Re: Cloud system successfully revived!
I saw the file for the skybox in my StandardMesh RFA.
So ... is it possible to bring it into 3DS Max 7 and make it smaller? So you could make it a small box in the middle of the map?

I remember using something like the bunker1 as a skybox mesh once. The "scale" of the mesh seems detached from that on the normal map. since bunker covered the whole top half of the sky. I don't think it would matter how small you make it.

I take it that this will only work in a CSM and not possible in SSM as it would be fantastic ?
Players in maps use clouds as reference for artillery targeting and this would stop this also

Yeah if you have enough scrolling clouds to obscure the skybox (or designed a sky box with a clear sky) then this would effectively prevent "cloud spotting".
As for server side...nope. This is the very definition of what a client side mod is. The end player would have the mesh and texture and the coding enabled on his end for this to appear. A server can not add it on it's own.
