Battlefield 1942 Mods, Modding Tutorials & Forums

Hello, I have recently started player BF1942 and have come to the point where it is realy boaring playing it over and over. I have installed 2 mods which are BFHD and of corse, Desert combat 0.9v. I am having an issue as when I go to custom game and then select one of the mods and start up a mod the loading bar gets to around 1/8 and then it revurts me back to desktop, it does this for bouth mods, a little cmd box comes up but it is blank. I have put both folders in my mod folder.

Make sure BF1942 is updated to the v1.61b patch.

When ever I download one of these patches, after you chose a language, it says ' setup cound not find a battle field 1942 instalation'. I think this is because of the fact I used a rip copy from my other pc, I do not have the disk anymore. Cound someone tell me the original file location for the files in x86' so that I can put them there. Any other advice would be nice, thanks.

You can't just copy & paste the game's files to your computer ... if that's what you did. It has to be installed. Then download the patches [v1.6 then v1.61b] from the Internet and install those. You cannot play the game without a CD unless you get a cracked v1.61b patch.

OS (C:)/Programs (x86)/EA GAMES/Battlefield 1942

You need to update your computers registry so it knows what version and where the game is

Any hints on how to do that? It is a ripped copy, I know, I am a bad person. Moving it into the right file location did not help.
