Texture of road in Liberation of Caen

Hello there !

Here is the first of a lot of question I should ask in the incoming months.
Be aware I've already made maps with BC42, I know a lot about the editor, but I know very few about modding. I just know how to add some special items like JU88 or Pak40.

I'm making a map and I wonder about something : I can't put a hand on the texture of the roads in the BF42 map "Liberation of Caen".
Only 3 road textures are available : Paved road, dirt road, sand road. And none of them really looks like a real road.

I thought about using the "painting tool" but it must take years and it's not a very precise tool :(
And besides everything disappears when you generate the surface map again...

Please help...

I saw these videos are using Editor42.
What is really Ed42 ? Is this an editor for Battlefield 42, just like Battlecraft ? Is it more powerful ?

It's a smoother editor which is more user friendly. Texturing is a lot easier too, but it can be a tad frustrating when setting up the files. Don't un-install Battle craft if you do download ED, as you'll require it for some of the basic files.

Ok, thanks. I downloaded it yesterday and I'll try to handle it the next days. Crazy to use 2 editors for 1 game :D

Actually, it's quite normal. Some programs simply have features that another program might lack. Kind of like how GIMP 2 handles .DDS alpha channels versus how Photoshop CS5 handles them.
