Battlefield 1942 Mods, Modding Tutorials & Forums

Hello all! I've been playing around with Area51 lately, and I've noticed that when the bots get in to one of my tanks, they won't fire. they just sit just in range of each other and aim. forever. I don't know where the problem would be, so please tell me which code to post. One thing I have tried is instead of the tank barrel, I just added a normal t34 barrel (Weapons and all). But the same thing happened.

It might be the map. I had a US tank fire at me once in seton's clutch, and missed!
I have no idea.

Use a vanilla map and place the tanks and test. Just screw around a bit (a lot) and find things.

Grr. Things just started working! I hate it when that happens! now both tanks will fire at each other. and the AA gun works too! I didn't do anything to them and that's what worries me.

Well, I've seen the same thing happen. I think the AI go through mood swings. Some games they will be more agressive and shoot more, and other times (on the same map, same team) they will be more laid back. I don't know (or don't remember) what happens internally to cause things such as this to happen, I am sure CajunWolf would have something to say on the matter if he was here.

Well it was more like They weren't working at all. none of them would fire. then I changed something non related (the AX Tank) and the US tank started working, So I changed the Ax tank back to what it was and IT started working too
