simulate a high latency multiplay situation locally

Post by fo0k »

Any way for me to limit the network speed of a 1942 host locally.. so I can join with new client on same machine.. but.. without the zero ping. I'd like to see how things are in a poor situation.. 300ms ping for example.

actually it might be easier to use a vpn service, if you route the traffic to usa and back you should get some 200-300 ping.

rented a 10 slot  server instead

£6 per month.

lols.. somewhat different from the 2-300 you would have spent 10 years back for something laggy as hell.
