Copyright Registration Question

Post by professor_smith »

I have created a mini-mod for Battlefield 1942. My mini-mod reads off of other people's mods regarding models (standardmeshes), artwork (textures), and sounds. However, I am the only one that has been working on the mini-mod and have redone 90% of the scripting myself over the past 12 years. I am ready to release it to be downloaded by the pubic, but I need to copyright it first. I am wondering if I would answer yes or no to the work being created & owed by 1 person?

Who's mod's does it use? Ask the devs, and maybe they might say yes.
FH and BG 42 will say no, they are very protective about their models.

I appreciate your reply, but I don't need to constantly tell everyone who's mods are involved. I have already received permission from all the mods involved. I just require an answer to my questions. Please stick to doing that, so I can release my mini-mod on schedule. Thank You.

OOOOOOHHH!
Sorry, I misread the question! My bad!
Say the mini-mod itself was developed by one person, but some content was made by other people.
That's probably what you were looking for!

Turbosquid.com has some quality models you can use in Battlefield 1942 for free or for a charge. I found some nice custom objects I use on some of my maps for free there, you should give it a go.

Perhaps at a later time. Mainly right now, I am concerned with testing and making sure HTroop Beta is ready to go, make an installer for it, and get it on the server before Tuesday (lol). Thank You Though.
