I tested the above death bubble today on guadacanal with a bubble set over both mains, and as listed above tanks just stayed burning after you died, but disappeared when you respawned. Now the strange thing is that even through they were gone I think they were just invisable, as when I went to drive out of main as opposite side, I kept dieing where the enemy tank was as if I ran into something, If I went around area I had no problem

Regarding deathbubbles in general, is it possible to get them visualized in any way ? could be in battlecraft of other apps ?

The bubbles I speak of are the Object.create hanomagVehicleSupplyDepot ones (and hoha, etc.)

I ask beacuse it can be quite hard to mentally figure out where the bubbles and borders are, especially if you have 20+ on a map and some of them are overlapping.

The only way I can think of is using a staticObject (a 3D model of a sphere with some transparency) with no collision mesh[es] and attach the bubble to it. You would have to resize the 3D model after each test until it fits the game's bubble size.

Anybody got other ideas to prevent disruptive players in ramming / blocking teammates taking off at runways ?

I got some, but they're probably not possible as SSM, or maybe just too complicated to code. One could be :

Making planes immune to ramming damage from tanks, jeeps etc. Plus, any kind of contact / impact with those, should push / hurl them away from the plane.

Possible ?

This attempt for inserting anti block / ram measures, is for a server that mostly has no human admins on it. :)

I've read some old post about "airfist" / "repulsion" rifles, that can be set to work against selected vehicles, blowing them away with little or no damage.

Would it be possible to insert such an airfist mechanism into planes, and which fires nonstop ? .... still SSM

you could try lover the planes speedMod values, i think they survive attacks from angry jeps better then. you could also give the plane higher mass so the jeeps cant buff them anywhere (got to lower planes engine Torque if you do that)

or you can make the damage from the jeeps low or null with the damageMod code or use all above in a combination. most of this suggest would change the gameplay tho

Players use tanks to ram / block too.

Will think about altering those physics.

How about that airfist / repulsion mechanism. Can it be inserted into a plane and set to nonstop autofire ? Too complex to make ?

hmm dunno if you can activate a gun with the throttle inputkey but that would make them autofiring i guess.

it may be possible to build such a gun to, but you probably will end up with pilots using them flying low pushing tanks and stuff around.
