Win 7 keeps disconnecting?

Is there a way to fix it? It will play LAN for about 2 minuets, then say "Disconnected from server"

Windows doesn't "connect" unless you are talking about your network messing up. Check your router, ISP, and make sure you are not using an HP laptop. HP laptops are known for having WiFi issues out of the box.

Do you get a connection error message first? If you just get a disconnected message it sounds more like the server kicked you out

you join up, and everything works fine until about two minuets in. then it locks up for a few seconds, kicks you out, then says "Disconnected from server". I haven't had any problems like this with Xp so I figured it must be the platform.

Stupid win 7 do you have a updated win7 like those microsoft patches? sometimes i have seen they had some patches for better compability with games or "old" games.

Also are you playing a mod or vanilla bf42

Try turning off the thing that does content checking on the server. I forgot what exactly it's called or where to change it, unfortunately.
