Re: Moving the FH matilda to bf1942
That is an iffy helper. It tells me how to fix it, but I can't. I do not have 3ds max. I have a thing in request a mod about getting it fixed. Just make the hull editable, and swap MAT IDs of the front and the rear. Once again, I do not have 3ds max, or any software capable of editing the vehicle.

Please upload the .sm files in question. The matIDs for the individual elements are stored inside the COL-mesh, so we have to edit that.
If you want to be fully autark, you could either look and try to grab a cheap old Max version like 7. Or get GMax. GMax is the retarded little brother of 3ds Max, but it's free and it should suffice to do simple things like edit MatIDs. It just lacks a lot of features that make sculpting and modeling easier.

the file extension sm is not allowed, I don't know why, and I've gotten plenty of viruses from searching.

It's simple. Most forums only allow a limited default set of attachment formats. pack your .sm in a .zip/rar and you should be good.

alright, here they are. I do not know if it is KT_hull_m1 that needs to be edited, or KT_hull_L1.

I find it odd how the file has not been downloaded yet. I'm getting tired of driving backwards.

Sorry, people are busy. I outlined a possibility to fix it yourself using GMax, it's not that difficult. That way you won't have to wait.
