A bit earlier, I imported an OBJ model of an AK-47 into 3DS Max 7. I converted the models to Poly, then linked the texture to the model (already mapped). Here is the problem, if it is one.
In the normal viewport, the texture looks normal (dark and blackish). But when I do a Quick Render, the texture looks really white and "milky", just as the actual texture image looks. Is there some kind of setting that I need to change?

Re: Texture for model looks white/milky
Is it possible the "milkiness" is actually transparency? That would explain a lot. And if transparency is not interpreted correctly by the renderer, this is what you can get.
Re: Texture for model looks white/milky
Just material setups in max I guess. Once you export I'd will probably look ok.
